Happy Hump Day Everyone!
The temps here in Ohio have been creeping up, so my smoothie cravings have been slooooowly coming back after what seemed like the longest winter of ALL TIME. Don’t get me wrong, I actually love winter. But I am physically unable to slurp down a cold smoothie when temps are in the negatives. I know, call me crazy. But, when the warmer weather comes around, smoothies make it back into the rotation, and this one in particular has always been my go-to.
Fun fact: I actually purchased a juicer a couple of years ago and got overly excited to use it before actually looking up any real recipes/shopping for ingredients. So, I pretty much just pulled out any vegetable we had in the fridge and pushed it through the shoot hoping for the best. Oooh carrots? PERFECT. Romaine? OKAY. Granny Smith apples? Seems legit. Lolz. Not legit, you guys. So not legit, in fact, that I put the juicer back into the box and have been too scared to bring it back out ever since. It was a bit traumatic if you can’t tell. So basically what I’m trying to say here is that I’ve never been one to want to marry liquified kale. I know, what kind of future dietitian am I, right? BUT, that’s exactly why this smoothie is my fave. Because you can’t taste the greens AT ALL. And I’m all about reaping the benefits of vegetables when they taste like a chocolate milkshake. CAN I GET AN AMEN!?
P.S. I use SFH Chocolate Whey in this recipe. Don’t forget to use the code TAYPALEO when you checkout on SFH.com for 10% off ANY order!
Alright, enough smoothie talk. Let’s talk about how I made Easter treats for the lovely people at Good Day Columbus on Monday.
I went back to GDC this week to show the anchors how to make my famous Paleo Reese’s Eggs. It was a blast and the eggs were a total hit! Direct quote from Marshall, “I could eat 6 of these things.” I’ll count that as a win. You can check out the whole segment here —> http://bit.ly/1NzijSx
They also let me hang out in the control room for a little while and it was kind of a big deal.
Maybe next time they’ll let me do the weather. #movingonup
