Long time no chat, huh? For those of you who may not have noticed, I took a bit of a blogging hiatus this summer, but I’m so happy to be back in action with the brand new site and cooking up yummy recipes for you again!
A lot has happened since we were last together, but the one thing that HASN’T changed is my obsession with smoothie bowls. Yep, definitely still there. Some people ask me why eating a smoothie from a bowl is so much better than a cup, and there is only one obvious answer that comes to my mind: TOPPINGS. #duh. One can never have too many toppings in my book. I like having a little crunch with every bite, so I usually top mine with blueberries, hemp seeds, and granola, but the options are really endless. You just don’t get that kind of action with a straw, am I right?
So something BIG happened over the weekend. And if you follow me on social media at all you probably already know this. WE GOT A PUPPY! Eeeeeeeeeeeek. It was kind of a spur-of-the-moment decision, but we absolutely fell in love with this little guy and just couldn’t pass him up! I mean, LOOK at this face.
He’s such a little model.
Woody is a chihuahua/weiner dog mix rescue pup and basically the most adorable thing on the planet Earth. Currently, he enjoys sleeping in his crate (seriously, he doesn’t cry at all!), eating his food, chasing the tennis ball, and chewing on our shoes. He also enjoys following me wherever I go and plopping down on the soft rugs in our bathrooms. He’s doing pretttttty well with potty training, but hey, we all have our areas for improvement.
So if you’ve noticed that I haven’t been posting any delicious food pics on Instagram for the past few days, it’s because I haven’t eaten ONE interesting meal since we got him on Sunday. What kind of food blogger even am I? Whoops.
The verdict: Food blog: Out. Dog blog? IN.
