I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and are enjoying all of the holiday season fun! A LOT has been going on since I last posted, so let me just give you a quick run down:
1. Sarah, one of my best friends, and I have been working hard on our very first dinner event which is coming up THIS Thursday! In case you haven’t seen me blowing up social media about it (literally), we are hosting a fundraising event in the greenhouse at a local farm here in Columbus to raise money for Mid-Ohio Foodbank! We have been extremely lucky to work with some incredible local companies and are so excited to see it all come together! I would be lying if I said we weren’t freaking out a LITTLE about cooking for 40+ people, but hey, we’re dietitians, so we obviously know what we’re doing, right? (Insert all of those food service formulas we’ve been calculating tirelessly for the past 5 years).
2. You may have noticed in that last comment that I said, “we’re dietitians.” AKA HI EVERYONE, I’M A REGISTERED DIETITIAN NOW! Yeah, like, a real one! Part of the reason posts have been a little scarce around here is that I’ve been studying like a mad woman for the past month. And last week I finally took (and passed!) the Regustration Exam! YAY!
3. Okay, I lied when I said A LOT had happened. Those are really the two most exciting things going on in my life right now.
But I’m back today with a new recipe for you that I think you’re going to LOVE. I spent a lot of time on my couch this weekend (recovering from the month-long study sesh), which included a humongous blanket, a Gilmore Girls marathon, and a full cup of this hot chocolate at all times. Hot chocolate has always been one of my faves around the holiday season, but what’s not my fave is all of the junk that comes in the packaged kind. My version has just 3 main ingredients, and takes about 3 minutes to make. So fill up your cup and cozy up by the tree or fireplace (the “fireplace” on Netflix totally counts), and soak in the holiday magic! Ready, set, GO!
